 Born on November 30th, 1973 as William Jason Reso, Reso would go on to become one of wrestling's most popular stars under his wrestling ring name "Christian" (also "Christian Cage"). Christian is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) where he originally made his notoriety as a tag team, and later singles competitor. Christian was trained by Ron Hutchinson and professional wrestling legend Dory Funk, Jr., and Tom Prichard. He made his wrestling debut in June of 1995 wrestling in independent wrestling shows. In 1998 he signed a developmental deal with the then called World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and began competing for the company the following year. After signing with WWF, he made his debut and captured his first championship with the company, the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship. He, and tag team partner "Edge" also known as Adam Copeland, went on to win the WWF Tag Team Championship on seven different occasions. During this time, they gained notoriety competing in the tag team division, partly due to their participation in the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches. In 2001 the team parted ways and Christian would remain mostly a singles competitor until leaving the now named WWE in 2005. He then signed a deal with TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling). Following his move to TNA, he won his first of six world championships, the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, in February 2006. He recaptured the title in January 2007 and established the Coalition, which disbanded a year later. He then left TNA in late-2008 and resigned with the WWE. In April 2009, he won his first world championship in the WWE, the now retired ECW Championship, which he would win again in July of that year. He became the longest reigning ECW Champion of the WWE era and later went on to the SmackDown brand capturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in May 2011, and again in July of that year.
Overall, Christian has won 22 total championships in WWE & TNA, not to mention ones outside of the national leagues :
